"THAT in consideration of a verbal presentation from Mayor Eccles respecting ‘Durham hospital closure’, council directs the mayor to send a letter on behalf of council to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) Board to state the importance of the Durham hospital and urging SBGHC to reconsider its decision to transfer acute in-patient care beds out of the Durham hospital, and further THAT this letter be circulated to the Ontario Central Local Health Coalition, Grey-Bruce Region; Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers; Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson; Sylvia Jones, Minister of Health; Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario; the County of Grey; the County of Bruce; and all Grey and Bruce County municipalities."
